Comparative Anti-plasmodial and Cytotoxic Effect of the Methanolic Extracts of Leaves, Stem Bark and Roots of Annickia affinis

Aims: This study aimed to evaluate and compare the in vitro anti-plasmodial cytotoxic effect of methanolic extracts from leaves, stem bark roots Annickia affinis.
 Study Design: is an experimental study.
 Place Duration Study: The work was conducted at Pharmacochemistry Natural Substances Laboratories Faculty Medicine Pharmaceutical Sciences, University Douala for extraction Biomedical Chemistry Research Center Rhodes South Africa antimalarial essay. All experiments were carried out 15th October 2019 31th July 2020.
 Methodology: test performed on Plasmodium falciparum sensitive strains 3D7 while cytotoxicity evaluated HeLa cell line.
 Results: tests revealed that exhibited a moderate with IC50 19.7 ± 0.8 12.1 µg/ml respectively. effects leaves classified as low (33.7 1.9 µg/ml). At up 50 µg/ml, all showed high rate survival among cells. No observed leaf (100% survival).
 Conclusion: first report comparative Annikia affinis. It highlights potential affinis important source drugs less vitro. In agreement use traditional medicine, more active than wood, activity.
